Back Pain

Lower back pain, also known as lumbago, affects 7 out of 10 people at some point in their lives. Lower back pain means a pain or ache anywhere on your back in between the bottom of the ribs and the top of the legs. The pain can come on suddenly, slowly or be a direct result of a fall or injury.
There are two categories of back pain:
Acute – where your back pain lasts for less than 3 months.
Chronic – where your back pain develops gradually over a period of time, lasts more than 3 weeks and causes long term problems.

Haemorrhoids

Haemorrhoids are small blood-filled swellings caused by dilated varicose veins.

The main symptoms are:

• Constipation
• Long lasting diarrhoea
• Bleeding from the anus
• Discharge
• Lump on the anus

Nappy Rash

Nappy rash is a common condition affecting babies when their skin comes into contact with urine or faeces. It causes the skin to become irritated and sore.

The main symptoms are:

• Red spots
• Dry, cracked, broken skin
• Swelling of the skin
