Ingredients

Promethazine hydrochloride 20mg and also lactose, maize starch, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate

Warnings

Causes drowsiness, do not drive or operate machinery. Avoid alcohol. Do not take if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients, after a head injury or concussion, if you suffer from asthma, bronchitis, bronchietasis, epilepsy, difficulty passingu rine, glaucoma, an enlarged prostate gland or liver, kidney or heart problems. Do not take if you have taken MAOIs for derpession in the last 14 days. Do not take if you regularly cannot get to sleep, this medicine is for short term use only. It should not be used for more than 7 days without medical advice. Do not use in pregnancy or whilst breast-feeding except on the advice of a doctor.

Side Effects

Occasionally this medicine may cause side effects such as drowsiness, headaches, clumsiness, disturbance of the digestive system, dry mouth, blurred vision, difficulty in passing urine, disorientation, restlessness, palpitations, abnormal heart rhythm, low blood pressure or allergic reactions. A few people may get a rash or become extra sensitive to sunlight. Rarely jaundice and blood cell idsorders may occur. The elderly are particularly susceptible to the side effects and confusion due to the effects of this medicine.
