A maximum strength clear, fragrance-free gel containing Ibuprofen 10%, a proven anti-inflammatory painkiller. The gel is designed to be rapidly absorbed into the skin for effective relief at the point of pain. Formulated for fast local relief of backache, rheumatic and muscular pain, sprains, strains and neuralgia. It is also used for pain relief in common arthritic conditions.

Warnings

For external use only. Although there is less risk of Ibuleve causing the complications that sometimes occur with oral ibuprofen (or similar anti-inflammatory painkillers) patients with asthma, an active peptic ulcer or a history of kidney problems should seek medical advice before use. Do not use if you are sensitive to any ingredients. Not recommended for children under 12 years. Not to be used in pregnancy or breast-feeding. Keep away from broken skin, the eyes and mouth.

Side Effects

Very occasionally side effects occur, mostly these involve application site skin rashes, itching or irritation. Very rarely wheezing may occur in people who already have a history of asthma or allergic problems or kidney problems may occur in people with kidney disease. Abdominal pain or stomach upset have been reported in rare instances, as have non-specific allergic reactions.
