Ingredients

Day Nurse capsules contain: Paracetamol 500mg, pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 30mg, pholcodine 5mg and also: sodium starch glycollate, magnesium stearate, sodium lauryl sulphate, gelatin, E104, E129, E171, E904, E172, soya lecithin, antifoam DC1510. Night Nurse capsules contain: Paracetamol Ph Eur 500mg, promethazine hydrochloride Ph Eur 10mg, dextromethophan hydrobromide Ph Eur 7.5mg and also: lactose, dimethicone, colloidal anhydrous silica, gelatin, E127, E131, E104, E171.

Warnings

Night Nurse: Contains paracetamol, do not take with any other paracetamol containing products. Do not take with any other products for the relief of flu, colds or congestion or with alcohol. Do not take if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, are having a pregnancy test carried out on your urine, if you have liver or kidney problems or are taking or have taken in the last 14 days MAOIs for depression. Talk to your doctor first before taking if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, if you have asthma or breathing problems, epilepsy, glaucoma, urinary retention or prostate or heart problems. Day Nurse: Do not take if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, for longer than 7 days unless your doctor agrees, if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, have high blood pressure, suffer from hyperexcitability, overactive thyroid, enlarged prostate, heart, liver or kidney disease, glaucoma, bronchitis, asthma or other similar respiratory problems or diabetes. Do not take if you are taking or have taken in the last 14 days MOIs for depression. Contains paracetamol, do not take with any other paracetamol containing products. Urgent medical attention should be sought in the case of an overdose even if you feel well.

Side Effects

Day Nurse: The colouring E129 is an azo dye that may cuase allergic reactions. Rarely this product may cause nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhoea, constipation, headache, blurred vision, ringing in the ears, irritability, sleep disturbance, loss of appetite, difficulty in passing water, rapid heart rate, shaking and skin rashes. Night Nurse: Occasionally some people may get skin rashes, other allergic effects or become extra sensitive to sunlight. Movement difficulties, dry mouth, blurred vision, disorientation, restlessness and dizziness may also occasionally occur.
